All the young dudes...
Simon Berry casts an experienced eye over the latest crop of bands from the Break Out stable. Could any of this lot be the Next Big Thing?
...One Drunk Morning kicked things off on Saturday with a joyful high-energy ska performance overflowing with choppy beats and punchy brass sounds.
Incredibly, they'd only been together for about three weeks, but with a performance this good, it won't be long before the Solabeat Alliances of this world are looking over their shoulders with some trepidation...
They will go far.

Band's happy vibes make catchy listening..
One Drunk Morning includes Ross, Rob, Leo, Conner, Josh, Linden and Emma, who make up Salisbury's very own septet.
Their 'third wave ska' is displayed on this pretty impressive debut EP.
They are a young act form the bass connection stable and their music is full of all the happy vibes required for a good ska outing. It is a little rough and raw, along with being solid and catchy. There are some nice touches throughout, and with Solabeat Alliance no longer upon the throne as kings of local ska, there is a gapping void left in the market.
Not now, but possibly in a few years' time, these peeps could take up that mantle. There is a strong feeling of potential shown for all three tracks. 'One Life' is the catchy one of the bunch, a jolly gem. Hubada follows and provides more of the same. Finally No More Pay Offs combines more chilled-out verses contrasting with the faster-paced and aggressive type of chorus - decent material.
I don't know what they are like live, which is such a vital part of the make-up of a top ska band, as demonstrated by SBA, but if they can generate the same amount of fun and energy as their CD suggests, then you will definately be hearing more sounds from One Drunk Morning.
